Originally known as the Specialist Critical Care Centre,  the Grange University Hospital is a new build £350m hospital in Cwmbran, Wales.  The hospital contains a host of specialist services in one place, including a 24-hour Emergency Department.

The 560-bed facility brings together more than 40 complex and more acute services onto one site and serves a population of over 600,000 people. There are 15 wards, with some specifically for Critical Care, Cardiology and Paediatrics. The wards mainly comprise 32 beds, with 24 single rooms with ensuite bathrooms and 2×4 bedded bays.

As one of the largest BetweenGlassBlinds projects to date, approximately 400 integral blinds units were installed across the hospital, along with 30 Vistamatic vision panels.  The sister companies worked with Dorsuite to provide Vista Max panels for theatre doors and integral blind units for bedroom doors and windows.  BetweenGlassBlinds additionally supplied Axis Entrance Solutions with bespoke units for bedrooms and patient bay doors.
