Cancer is a terrible disease that has touched many of the team at BGB and Vistamatic directly, especially over the last few months. So for the last Vision Fund of 2022, it was unquestioned that our support would go to Cancer Research through both direct donation and private fundraising.
Cancer Research UK was formed 20 years ago, in 2002. However, the history goes back much further, to 1902, with the founding of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund. Their pioneering work into how to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer has benefitted millions of lives over the past 120 years. From transforming radiotherapy research, to developing new chemotherapy drugs, they are changing the prognosis and extending lifespans for countless people in the UK.
