The Project
The brand new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre at Ipswich Hospital for East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust will house a dedicated urgent treatment centre (UTC), as well as a new emergency department (ED).
The new, dedicated urgent treatment centre will offer treatment for urgent but not life-threatening conditions, allowing A&E to focus on providing care to those that are most critically ill and seriously injured.
Between Glass Blinds
Working with Axis Entrance Systems Ltd, Between Glass Blinds offered hygienic privacy integral blinds within the Flo-Motion® door-sets allowing for visibility between patients & staff. The solution to have the integral blinds within the large sliding doors meant the department offered excellent light transfer & a feeling of spaciousness.
