Supporting Ataxia and Rare Disease Day

For February’s Vision Fund, BGB is supporting Ataxia UK and Rare Disease Day.

‘Ataxia’ is an umbrella term for a group of neurological disorders that affect balance, coordination and speech. There are many different types of ataxia that affect people in different ways. With only 10,000 people in the UK who are diagnosed, ataxia is a rare condition.

Rare Disease Day is an observance held on the 28th February to raise awareness for rare diseases and improve access to treatment and medical representation.
